The location is convenient with nearby dining options like IHOP. The cleanliness of the rooms was concerning, with noticeable stains and odors. Staff were friendly and responsive. It felt unsafe at night with a lot of unsavory activity around the hotel.

The staff was friendly and the breakfast options were decent, especially the waffles. The room had a strong musty smell, and we spotted a few roaches. Definitely not the cleanest place I've stayed at.

The waffles were a hit with my husband, but my experience was marred by cleanliness issues—dust on the headboard and lamp, a dirty bathtub, and some unsettling stains. The staff were friendly and helpful, yet the wait for simple amenities like towels was frustrating. I appreciated the comfortable bed and the shades that blocked out light effectively. Unfortunately, we dealt with a few bugs and a malfunctioning toilet. Despite the location and price being great, the overall stay felt far from ideal. I might give it another chance, but only if the issues are addressed.

The room had a comfortable bed, but cleanliness was an issue. I noticed hair in the sink and a dirty tub. The air felt damp, and there was an unsettling smell, likely mold. Two small towels were not enough for two adults, and there was no trash can in the bathroom. Roaches were present in the room, which made it difficult to relax. The shower lacked safety features, making it slippery. The helpful staff made check-in pleasant, though the room’s overall condition was disappointing. The proximity to restaurants and the pool was a plus after a long day.

The outdoor swimming pool is an absolute dream for lounging and soaking up the sun! I adored the relaxing jacuzzi where I melted my worries away. Plus, the staff was friendly and welcoming—a true highlight of my trip!
Can't recommend highly enough! ❤️🌟

I loved the easy stroll to nearby attractions like the Buena Vista Museum of Natural History, just over 2 km away, and Central Park at Mill Creek, about 3 km from my room, making it perfect for leisurely walks and exploring the local culture; the hotel features comfortable accommodations and is conveniently close to great dining options like Denny's and Carl's Jr, but there could be improvements in room amenities.

La Quinta Inn offers great value with affordable rates. The friendly staff genuinely tries to assist guests, making check-in smoother despite the facility's challenges. cleanliness issues and missing amenities like microwaves and refrigerators can hinder comfort. a reliable choice for budget-conscious travelers.

Just a prime choice for a quick trip in Bakersfield with extraordinarily good value for money. The shower was hot and high pressure.

The pool is a hit and the kids loved the free breakfast.
The cleanliness left a lot to be desired.

I got to my room, and it was a disaster. There were dirty underwear behind the bathroom door and trash everywhere. The toilet barely flushed, and the sink took ages to drain. Seriously, cleanliness is just basic hospitality!

Great location near my kids and doctor's office. Price was affordable. the experience was marred by poor service and cleanliness issues. The staff's attitude left much to be desired, impacting the overall atmosphere. Basic amenities, like towels, were frequently unavailable despite requests. Breakfast options were limited, and the rooms were not well-maintained. The elevator was out of service, and I was placed on a higher floor, contradicting my request. I had high expectations based on a previous stay elsewhere, but this did not meet the standard. Improvements are essential.

My friends and I had a blast exploring the Southern Sierra Mountains - from epic hikes to crazy whitewater rafting, it was lit! We even caught some gnarly fish to grill up later. Totally worth the adventure!
Wish there was a sick rooftop hangout spot at night for chill vibes and good times.

The room was cool and the air conditioning was quiet. The breakfast had great options, and my husband loved the waffles.
It wasn't the cheapest stay, but it was still acceptable.

When we arrived at La Quinta Inn, I was disappointed with the room we were given. The door was tricky to open and needed to be fixed. The room felt very bare, with minimal amenities. We had issues with the linens, as there were old stains on the sheets and not enough facecloths provided for both of us. The coffee pot couldn't be plugged in properly, and the thermostat didn't work at all. The desk lacked a fridge and drawers, making it challenging to store our belongings. the room was clean, and the buffet breakfast offered a variety of delicious options. the lack of attention to detail in the room's maintenance and amenities made our stay less enjoyable. In terms of facilities, the lack of ironing facilities, a cozy sitting area, and a fully functioning air conditioning unit was disappointing. The room's carpeted floor looked clean but turned out to be dirty when we tried to dry up some water with a towel. The bathroom's bathtub had issues, and I noticed mold growing, which was concerning. the staff's attitude was a major drawback. We encountered issues with getting towels and pillowcases, the phone in the room didn't work, and the response to basic requests was unsatisfactory. The behavior of the staff towards homeless individuals accessing the breakfast area was distressing and unprofessional. The overall experience at La Quinta Inn was far from pleasant, with a range of issues from maintenance to staff attitude. The lack of attention to detail and customer service left much to be desired. I would not recommend staying here again.

Breakfast included boiled eggs, conveniently located next to IHOP and Arby's. The cleaning service did a good job maintaining the rooms.
The overall cleanliness was appalling, with dirty rooms and common areas. The elevator was out of service, and the staff seemed disorganized and unhelpful.

Enjoyed the Southern California vibes at the hotel. Found the Bakersfield's country music intriguing. The amenities were great; loved the free Wi-Fi and breakfast!
Dear bugs, we didn't invite you to the room party.

Quiet, spacious rooms away from freeway noise, friendly and speedy check-in/out, free parking for rental car. Breakfast included, delicious waffles, fresh fruit, and coffee, perfect for an overnight stop between San Francisco and Las Vegas.
Felt spoilt, nothing too much trouble.

The breakfast was satisfying, offering a good selection of items. The well-lit rooms were spacious and comfortable. The prompt response of the maintenance worker when the air conditioning needed attention was impressive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The location was convenient for my city break, making it easy to explore the area and access nearby attractions.
The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired; some guests reported finding hair and ashes in their rooms.

We stayed at La Quinta in Bakersfield for a family getaway to the Southern Sierra Mountains. The hotel provided a convenient and comfortable base for our outdoor adventures, from hiking to fishing, and even delightful whitewater rafting experiences. The breathtaking scenery and endless opportunities for family fun made our trip truly unforgettable.
My wife says that a kid's play area would enhance the family-friendly atmosphere.
